Ash Wednesday
Service
February 22, is a day of FAST and ABSTINENCE. Mass with the distribution of ashes will be at 8:30
a.m. and 7:00 p.m. PLEASE REMEMBER! Do not park in the Jefferson Building parking lot for the 8:30 a.m. Mass.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our parish's participation in Operation Rice Bowl. Families
fast by eating a simple meal one day a week and pace the savings of what a usual meal would cost in their "Rice
Bowl". Rice Bowl boxes can be found in the church vestibule.

Lenten Bible Study:
will begin on Thursdays
from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., in the rectory downstairs meeting room, starting February 23rd and continuing for five weeks.
The title of the study is "Jesus Passion: The Story of Redemptive Suffering", by Jennifer Phelps as part of the
Catholic Scripture Study International. the cost of materials is approx. $15. Please call Joanna Madorma by Feb
12th if you would like to join the study group, as materials need to be ordered soon.

"The Light Is On For You"
The Sacrament of Penance
will be held every Wednesday during Lent from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. In our parish, we will start with a Holy Hour at 6:30
p.m., during which confessions will be heard, and after Holy Hour, every Wednesday until 8:00 p.m. during Lent, starting
February 29th.

February is Catholic Press Month
During the month of February, we ask all parishioners
to reimburse the parish for their subscription to our diocesan newspaper, the Arlington Catholic Herald. The Subscription
is $22 per year. An envelope can be found in your February envelope mailing.

Little Black Books
are available for your
Lenten devotion of "only six minutes a day". The right-hand page will cite part of the Gospel for the Mass
each day. The left-hand page has a variety of quotes, information and timely thoughts. To help defray the cost,
we ask a small donation of $1.25, if possible, that can be placed in the basket next to the books in the church foyer.

Will be meet on Sunday, February 26th, after the 8:30 a.m. Mass in the Parish Hall.

The Holy Spirit Interactive Discipleship Program:
Continues
MONDAY at 7:00p.m in the Annex Building. Feb 20, 2012. Topic is "Peace in a Troubled
World." Everyone is encouraged to attend. Note meetings will be on Mondays during Lent.
